Cornelius Parrott Hardy was the brother of Jesse Hardy Jr., both sons of Jesse Hardy and wife Elizabeth Razor and grandsons of Lemuel Hardy and Elizabeth Parrott of Bertie, Green, and Dobbs NC.

The Bertie NC family of Jesse Hardy and Elizabeth Razor went to Lincoln Co GA where they lived awhile before ending up in Pine Flat, Dallas Co., Alabama.

This family stopped in Edgefield SC on their way to Lincoln GA- Jemima Hardy had a farm in Edgefield in 1800. Lincoln Co GA was just across the river from Edgefield- a short horse ride or a ferry ride. Some Bertie NC Hardys stayed in Lincoln and Jasper Co GA but others went to AL and joined the VA/Edgefield Hardys.

The last known owners were John F. Hardy of Meridian, MS and Mrs. J. M. Hardy in Selma, AL.
